Khan Academy
"Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content."
I like how you were able to login and pick an Avatar and I think students would love this. I think this site would be very beneficial for a student struggling in a certain area. They could practice in parts where they are struggling. The website is free and you are truly joining a "Global Classroom". They have video lessons translated into almost 40 languages and counting in addition to the Spanish, French, and Brazilian versions of our site and this would be great for students who have come from a different country. The website is non profitable and is for everyone. I honestly don't see anything negative about this website.

Open I.D
Open I.D I believe is great because
it allows you to use an exsisting ID to log into multiply websites and this
could be great for your students because they are not having to use a bunch of
different passwords and usernames. And only you will be able to see your
password. This website is not owned by anyone but I don’t like the idea of
that. This website offers a lot of educational common core videos which can be
used in the classroom but studying to be a teacher we must try to stay away
from videos. The idea of mastery charts are great idea because this can help
show students their progress in the classroom. The website also allows you to create
assessments, homework, and lesson plans is what we as teacher do and I think
this is the most beneficial part about the website! I just don’t like that you
have to pay for the premium package but you can follow this site on all of
these social media websites.

Digital Footprint
The digital devices our students have access to is incredible and it is away they are doing most of their communication. As a future Educator I need to educate my students how important it is to be cautious of what they are putting online and they must understand that there are consequences of online actions.
It is important that students are aware of their digital footprint-the “trail” they leave online because there are consequences to the choices we make good or bad online. Students don't realize what they put online has some what of a paper trail. I also read on a blog that as a future educator in order for us to be effective on teaching students about their digital footprints, we have to be able to manage our own digital footprints.
I want my students to know who I am. What are the positive things I do and what are some positive things I can share with them and online. As long I show them positive things, I will hope that they will do same thing with their online digital foot prints. This site showed a great way to teach students about digital footprints. It goes into having the students draw their foot prints. One foot print you will write about the negative impact and the other foot print will show the positive impact of your digital foot print.

Copyright websites
•When you find a website, review the
site, list the Pros and Cons of the site, and provide a reasoning as to why a
teacher would or would not use this website with students to teach them about
copyright.
Pros-
The website
seems kid friendly.
The website
is not difficult to understand, the vocabulary seems to fit the younger ages.
The website
even has a quiz for students to assess them!
Gives the definition
of word that has to with “copyright”
Cons
It website seems
disorganized.
I would use
this site for my class because it seems really kid friendly. The vocabulary is
not out of range for students either.
Pros
The videos
can be very entertaining.
Seems very engaging
for a student!
I think they
would like that it is cartoonish in explaining things, like a cartoon.
Explains and
gives great definition of ‘Copyright”
Gives the
steps for copyrighting your stuff.
Even gives
you the state standards for this website.
Cons
Seems a
little Vague.
I would most
definatly use this website! But with both of my websites I have chose seem to
be very kid friendly. Like being in a cartoon. I would recommend them both.
